Project Name: MSX wired gaming pad
Project Owner: ZGCS
Project Start: 2024 October
Project Status: Finished (only prototype)
DESCRIPTION
Gamepad conversion with own circuit for MSX computers.
Based on the basic idea, we would like to develop a Commodore 64/128/Amiga wired gamepad with our own circuit, which can be easily converted to MSX compatibility.
Based on the project, we wanted to create two MSX and two Commodore 64/128/Amiga gamepads, unfortunately, due to a design problem, four MSX versions were produced.
We designed functions for the SELECT and START buttons, SELECT is the Sony magic key, START is the Sony secret key. This part needs to be redesigned, which will not happen for now.
About Sony magic key:
"The Sony Magic Key is a dongle that needs to be inserted in joystick port 2. If you boot a MSX computer with this dongle in place and a game on cartridge (or disk) supporting it, you can generally access a special menu with cheat options by using specific keys. "
